Yes, Samaya is endorsing the Pepa

So I save her lovely Indian cottons for the summers. Cut to 2016, Raageshwari is far removed from the world of glitz. When I shooting for the videos or when I’m performing a show, he gets very excited to see a different me. I had great respect for them but I was searching for a different vibe in my companion. “Well ideally babies love to be simply nude and dance around.”Does she miss the limelight “The trappings of celebrityhood seem frivolous now. Due to the cold weather here, she has to be in stockings and hats and her fur snowsuit. I look after Samaya single-handedly (except for a lady history professor who baby sits when I’m performing or hosting a show on rare occasions). Raageshwari married Sudhanshu, a barrister in England, in 2014, and earlier this year they were blessed with a baby girl, Samaya. I hope I can release it soon. My wardrobe has shrunk and my library has enlarged,” she says. And so, little Samaya was born. If you are a woman with a baby, then all the more. I have worked on a dance single and I have completed a modern Sufi album. We parents love to dress them up. From the black cabs to sales staff to passersby, everyone is so kind.”Luckily for Raageshwari, she loves the city, she now calls home. “Your life is now all about lullabies, nappies, baby food and entertaining the baby like a clown.

But Sudhanshu and I try not to be over indulgent parents.”Thankfully for her, the family has a musical taste too.She ruled the roost as a pop star in the 90s. Thankfully, Sudhanshu did not mention kids even once. “I’m always creating projects and hoping that they can become visible to everyone out there. My friends only introduced me to businessmen.About her husband, she says, “He may be a barrister and a Cambridge and Oxford scholar, but he is very loving and simple. That environment is most conducive to change and growth. Her little girl however, may not agree. Cut to 2016, Raageshwari is far removed from the world of glitz. “London is such a warm-hearted city.”Raageshwari admits that her choice of partner comes as a surprise to her friends. “Sudhanshu loves art and music. Brands, shoes and totes seem futile. So he is very involved in my Mitica green five-color jacquard hairy dumplings faux fur fabric interests.”

Speaking of the baby, “My mother Veera wanted me to have a baby the day I got married! She was so concerned about my age (I was 41), but I would tell her to just relax. They love him though —especially Juhi Chawla. Only his love and kindness have made me sail through the switch. We are just grateful to have a healthy baby. My friends still cannot believe I married a barrister from England. Yes, Samaya is endorsing the Pepa & Co brand. She had a very deep and meaningful conversation about his work. Raageshwari She ruled the roost as a pop star in the 90s. He is a pianist but pursued law instead. He deeply respects creative arts. But I love to dress her in Indian clothes or Lucknow embroidery baby kurtas. “This should amuse everyone.”On the work front, Raageshwari is always pursuing creative arts.”.”The change she says, has been dramatic. She is a hands-on mother, runs mediation programmes and occupies herself with yoga, baby books and cooking while not occasionally venturing out for a stage performance. The toddler is already endorsing baby fashion brands. I am deeply inspired by his human rights work in Afghanistan, Syria and Darfur

I used to think about films and then put it on paper

I love the technical process of filmmaking. Mustafa Mustafa, who is all set to mark his Bollywood debut with Machine, didn’t have it easy in Bollywood. Meanwhile, I went to NSD and trained under N. He barely ever spoke to me about films. And that’s how I was finalised for the role. My father, although unsure about this, mulled over the idea for over two months. However, I don’t think I’m competing with anyone because everyone has different talent, which it is a treat to watch. The only memory I have is when I went on the sets of Baadshah and I only remember Shah Rukh Khan sir being there — nothing else.Do you have any childhood memories of visiting film sets with your father? As a kid, I used to watch films, but never visited the sets. She is a natural actress on screen and easy to work with — we were always on the same track as co-workers.When did you realise that you want to be a filmmaker?I started writing short films a really long time ago when I was studying, but when I went to NYC, I made 75 short films.

The main cast of the film wasn’t locked then and they wanted to make Machine with someone else. In a candid chat, he spills the beans on his debut film with father Abbas Burmawalla (of the Abbas-Mustan duo), working with Kiara Advani and much more. Edited excerpts from the interview:How did your acting journey start?I was never into acting, I was more involved in direction. I have not completely come to terms with the fact that I’m an actor now. I have also written two feature films for my father that will hopefully go on floors later this year. That’s how acting interested me — it was never my dream to be one. I had very little idea of what my father was doing. I kept thinking that I could play the role of protagonist, but never voiced out my thoughts. I made my showreel that included dance moves, dialogues and action.Mustafa, who is all set to mark his Bollywood debut with Machine, didn’t have it easy in Bollywood. K. When they asked me to narrate the story, I enacted each and every scene from the script.

I always concentrated on my studies and dad never brought work home. A few years ago, when I was assisting Abbas-Mustan on Players, Race 2 and Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karun, I used to read out the scenes and enact it to them. Sharma for six months. Whenever we have to do a scene, we used to discuss and shoot the scenes. My journey wasn’t a cakewalk. And Rubber seal Manufacturers suddenly, one of my cousins suggested my name for the male lead. He confesses that he became an actor by chance and not by choice.

I used to think about films and then put it on paper. Are you already feeling the pressure of competing with top actors?I am still getting into it.How did you end up choosing to debut with your father’s Machine?I was assisting my dad and uncle on Machine earlier. How was your experience working with Kiara Advani? She has done a fantastic job in her last two films
